THE COHESION PROJECT

Kansas City's LGBTQ+ community is growing all the time, and as a result, we need to continuously improve our connections with each other and our sense of community. By building a shared vision and core values for our community, we can increase access to information and fight the forces that marginalize us as a united front.

Seth Middleton completed his Master's of Social Work capstone project in April 2023. The project assessed feelings of cohesion among professionals who serve LGBTQ+ youth in KC, and found that KC knows cohesion is a problem and is ready to address it.

So let's band together, KC. Let's build each other up.
